About Gonzalez Rehabilitation Technique (GRT)

Making Miracles

Doctors and patients agree that GRT is a Step-by-Step method to Making Miracles. GRT is an acronym which stands for Gonzalez Rehabilitation Technique. It is a collection of patented techniques that evaluate and restore every major nerve in the body. This systematic treatment makes the body function more efficiently allowing previously wasted energy to be use for healing. GRT does not treat any conditions. More importantly, GRT focuses on up-regulating the nerves that may be associated to a condition so that the body heals itself.

GRT is a technique that improves the way the nerves activate. If you can visualize a muscle or organ being controlled by a dimmer switch, you may be able to understand how 10 different people with the exact same injury/condition can each have a unique level of dysfunction. In many cases the muscle or organ may be only slightly dimmed with minimal symptoms of pain, decreased range of motion, decreased strength and impaired organ function. And in other instances it may be completely dimmed, causing devastating conditions of debilitating pain, paralysis, and poor organ function. In any case, the GRT treatment is similar regardless of the level of dysfunction.

It is important to remember that GRT is a technique that maximizes the ability for a nerve to activate. This treatment can be directed to specific nerve groups to help patients with certain conditions. For example: the foot is controlled by the spinal cord segments of S1, L5 and L4 (S stands for sacrum or commonly called our tailbone, L stands for lumbar or low back). If anyone has ANY condition affecting the foot (Sprained ankle, diabetic ulcer on the foot, plantar fasciitis, hammer toes, broken foot, heel spurs, etc…) One or more of these nerves are affected and by up-regulating these nerves the function will return and the conditions/symptoms improve if not completely disappear.

GRT practitioners often report success treating patients with various conditions including but not limited to:

  • Sports Injury: Muscle and joint pain, decreased range of motion
  • Brain Injury: Stroke, paralysis, bells palsy, speech and swallowing dysfunction
  • Spinal cord injury: paralysis, sensory and motor injury
  • Auto Immune: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Gullian-Barre
  • Joint & bone injury: broken bones, decreased joint space, ligament tears, post surgery

What Does a GRT Treatment Feel Like?

Plug-In the Nerve Supply

GRT is a safe non-invasive technique that will allow the doctor to evaluate and up-regulate every major nerve in the patients’ body. The recommended protocol involves the initial GRT Spinal Evaluation which is a specific series of upper and lower body muscle strength tests designed to evaluate the entire spinal cord. If a weakness is found, the doctor may ask the patient to stabilize specific areas of the spine, head or abdomen in order to correct each muscle weakness. The doctor has been trained in various methods of correction including manual, instrument and light therapy techniques. This technique will activate every major nerve in the body. If we were to make the analogy of the nerve being a phone line; this is similar to making sure the phone line is plugged-in to each area of the body. After the GRT Spinal Evaluation and Correction most people experience an immediate reduction of pain and an increased sense of stability.

Removing Static from the Nerve Supply

After the GRT Spinal Evaluation, the doctor may choose to treat the entire body in sequence or focus on a specific area, depending on the patients condition and goals. The suggested protocol involves finding and treating hidden neurological weaknesses called G-POI weaknesses. G-POI stands for Gonzalez Point of Interruption, and is referring to a specific point within the body that disables communication within the nervous system when a certain movement or function is activated. Using the phone analogy in the above paragraph, this is similar to picking up the phone and removing any static that may be on the line. This unique way of testing forces the body to recognize hidden weaknesses that are not found by traditional testing alone. G-POI weaknesses are often found in the nerves of the head (Cranial Nerves) which can cause a myriad of conditions such as TMJ dysfunction, vertigo, facial paralysis and pain, ADD/ADHD, speech and swallowing dysfunction and more. They can also be found in the body causing physical pain, dysfunction and decreased range of motion. Once the G-POI weakness is activated, the correction is simple and painless. After treatment, most patients report a euphoric feeling of floating and effortless movement and strength.
